About Liberton Primary School

OUR SCHOOL

Liberton Primary School  is a a non-denominational primary school which serves the south east area of Edinburgh and was built in 1954.  The school serves a catchment area which includes both council and private housing thus encompassing a broad social mix.

 

The School is a two-storey building set in extensive park grounds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

We aim to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere as you enter the building

 

 

 

There are fourteen classrooms in the main building and two classes housed in a transportable unit.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have a drama/music room, and a PE Hall that also doubles as an assembly and dining hall.

 

 

 

 

 

We are fully equipped with a computer suite and have a specialist teacher who works with the pupils in P2-7. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Nursery class is also accommodated in the main building.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Breakfast Club and After School Club run in the school.

Fresh produce growing in our school garden. We use what we grow to promote healthy eating and an interest in good food.
